Maintenance

Part-time, Mon-Fri., flexible hours to be determined by the Director of IT

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains the condition of the health department building.  Position requires:  lifting/carrying a minimum of 20 lbs, kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, and standing. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Lifting/carrying a minimum of 20 lbs. – often more with assistive devices (carts, dolly, etc.)
  • Kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, and standing 80% of time or more.
  • Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, self-motivated worker.
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Required special skills include: ability to use work tools, ability to use cleaning equipment, ability to shovel snow, ability to use lawnmower & weed eater, as needed.

COVID Testing Lead / COVID Testing Coordinator 

Full time, 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, split shift 7am – 12: 2-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY: The COVID Testing Lead is responsible for the oversight of COVID testing services provided by ECHD.  This includes but is not limited to – ensuring supplies are available; ensuring results are communicated in a timely and accurate fashion; testing staff are scheduled, competent and available for prescribed clinics. 

If selected as Coordinator, additional duties would include:  overseeing a Testing Lead position at the CCHD, verifying billing/reimbursement from testing service, ordering supplies, troubleshooting testing issues, scheduling clinics to meet the needs of the community.   

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Clinical education or background preferred (RN, LPN, Phlebotomist, CNA) or experience in COVID testing / response
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Computer skills and tech-savvy required.
  • Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Able to demonstrate excellence in customer service both on the phone and in person.
  • Independent, self-motivated worker.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk 70-80% of the time.
  • Must be able to work outside in inclement weather – extreme heat, cold, etc.
  • Driver’s license

Youth Development Specialist

Part-time – Mon-Fri, primarily 3-6 p.m. – full days during school breaks and summer

POSITION SUMMARY: Leads small and large groups of youth in educational, recreational, artistic, and culturally enriching activities.  Program hours are 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during regular school days; 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. when Flora schools are not in attendance, and also requires a few earlier days when school dismisses before 3:00pm.  Lead activities like soccer, basketball, bike club, cooking, robotics, or participate in group activities like, life skill lessons, community service projects, 4-H, and Marathon Kids.

 REQUIREMENTS: Must be over 18 years of age.  Responsible and energetic; able to bond well with youth. IL driver’s license required.
